The 2018-2019 school year is almost here, which means homecoming is on its way and it’s time to start thinking about your homecoming plans. What are you going to wear to homecoming? Who will you go with? Friends? Your crush?

Homecoming, unlike prom, is open to everyone including underclassmen and school alumni. Typically taking place in September or October, it is a fun way to welcome everyone back to school. For the community the big homecoming game or parade is the main event while most students live for the dance.

The homecoming dance resembles baby prom. Kings and queens are crowned and there is much pomp and circumstance, but the dress code and themes tend to be much more casual. Typically, girls wear shorter party dresses for homecoming and boys might wear just a button down rather than a suit or tux. Creative types may even find themselves dressing to match the theme.
