Finding a mother of the bride/groom dress has been more stressful than buying my own wedding gown years ago!. I tried on so many different dresses that were much more expensive. This dress is an amazing value! It is perfect for a cocktail event or even for a more formal outing. It does not have any give in the rib cage/chest area, so I did size up, but the length and fit everywhere else was not compromised but instead did hang very elegantly. I actually added some matching embellishments to the sleeves when I wore it to a more formal event. However, I loved the simplicity of the sleeves for the outdoor spring wedding I attended first.

The dress is definitely beautiful in fact both me (MOB) and the mother of the groom got the same dress without knowing. On me there was just something I couldn’t quite figure out that i didn’t like.

The perfect gala dress: sparkling, flattering, comfortable and eye-catching. This dress was easy to wear; no special underwear to purchase. It is higher waisted and flows outward slightly (flattering to hide a not-perfect tummy). This dress was beautiful with sequins, flowy for dancing, comfortable to sit and eat dinner. It was not heavy like other sequin dresses, and neck line was perfect- even for work party gala that I attended. I felt confident, received many compliments, and it was a great price point. Runs slightly tight around rib cage (I am 5'5", 145 lb, purchased size 8), but plenty of room in arms and waist- lots of room to move and dance in the dress.
